Safety Aspects
Under the heading of safety, it is necessary to consider the welfare of
visitors and members of staff using the reception area, and of course,
this is related to the reputation and prestige of the organisation.
A person who is placed at risk through the negligence or carelessness of
the hotel may well become annoyed and be unlikely to stay, make recommendations
or indeed return. As well as not returning themselves, an irate guest
is likely to publicise their low opinion of the hotel, which could lead
to a certain loss of future trade. In service industries especially,
personal recommendations (or the opposite) can mean a significant increase
(or decrease) in customers. |
