IntroductionThe basic routines and problems which may arise, are the same whatever size of hotel, however, the larger the hotel, the more staff and the more aids will be employed. The receptionist working in smaller hotels may find that a number of procedures and aids will be unnecessary because of the lesser volume of work. Of course, with the advent of computerisation and specialist software at affordable prices, smaller hotels are finding the benefits of using such systems are just as valuable for them as for larger establishments.
