Lady SmilingA hotel is a service provider and its main function is to cater to customers' needs, therefore, good customer care is central within the receptionist's role.  In the Communication element, it is shown how the receptionist's appearance and manner are vital in giving a good first impression of the hotel and its service, but to maintain this good impression, it is important that each guest is dealt with in a comptetent and professional manner.
